All-time high rating of GMA Network’s ‘Onanay’ gives headache to ABS-CBN’s ‘The General’s Daughter’

  • Onanay continues to dominate its time slot
  • Changing the show against Onanay did not work, defeating Onanay’s rating is still a challenge
  • Onanay’s all time high rating gives its rival show, The General’s Daughter, a headache

The GMA Network Telebabad show ‘Onanay’ continues to give headaches to its rival show, the ABS-CBN primetime bida series, ‘The General’s Daughter.’

The rating of Onanay is on an all-time high, based on the Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) People Ratings of AGB Nielsen. Prior to the premiere of ‘The General’s Daughter,’ ‘Onanay’ rated well against ABS-CBN’s ‘Ngayon at Kailanman,’ the show that was replaced by ‘The Generals Daughter.’

The GMA Network hit drama series ‘Onanay’ continues to captivate viewers in it’s primetime slot, even hitting a new all-time high national TV rating of 13.6% on March 1, 2019, according to the Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) People Ratings of AGB Nielsen, against the 11.9% of ABS-CBN’s, ‘The Generals Daughter.’

In the said episode, Onay (Jo Berry) burst into tears after everything that Helena (Cherrie Gil) did to her and to her family. She took revenge as she let Helena experience the humiliation that she suffered in the past. The highlight of the episode was when Onay took Helena’s house as a revenge and forced her to leave it whilst being escorted by the police.

The scene happened during a party that Helena hosted, and the humiliating scene was witnessed by Helena’s rich friends who didn’t want to get involved, leaving her whilst in misery.

GMA Network’s ‘Onanay’ is set to conclude on March 15, 2019 and will be replaced by the upcoming fantasy series ‘Sahaya’ that will premiere on March 19.

Since the ABS-CBN TV series ‘The General’s Daughter’ premiered, it has always been outranked by GMA Network’s Onanay. Based on the Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) People Ratings of AGB Nielsen as of February 11, 2019, GMA Network’s ‘Onanay’ rated 12.1% against its rival show, ABS-CBN’s ‘The General’s Daughter’ that only got 11.7%
