JM de Guzman-Arci Muñoz tandem in ‘Last Fool Show’ brings back memories about them

After Araw Gabi, actor JM De Guzman is set star in a new television series Project Kapalaran opposite Arci Muñoz who is also his leading lady in the upcoming romantic-comedy flick Last Fool Show.

De Guzman  and Muñoz were beyond thrilled when they learned that they will working together in a television series and in a film as well.

On Monday, March 18, both spoke with ABS-CBN News team to share details about their big-screen project which will be released in April.

“Pelikula siya tungkol sa isang aspiring director,” Munoz began, making reference to her character. “Nabigyan siya ng break. Sinabihan siya na kailangan mo gumawa ng pelikula. Galing siyang indie, award-winning indie director.”

JM, described the project like as, “Movie within a movie. Dinidirek niya (referring to Arci) ‘yung sarili niyang pelikula pero ‘yung mga artista sa pelikula niya, sa point of view niya, kami ‘yung nakikita niya.”

The two were asked about their experience in working together for the first time.

“Magkaibigan na kami dati pa. Bata pa kami. Malaking bagay ‘yung magkaibigan kami tapos magkatrabaho kami ngayon. Very comfortable ako sa kanya,” Arci quickly answered.

Munoz and De Guzman were classmates in a theater class when they were still in college at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

“Akalain mo wala pa tayong pang UP Ikot nun, ngayon may pelikula at soap tayo,” JM reminded Arci.

Arci’s Instagram post, she had a photo of them (with JM) together with a throwback caption remembering their college memories as classmates in University of the Philippines.

‘Last Fool Show,’ big-screen movie was mostly shot in Boracay and will be in cinemas nationwide on April 10.
