“Sana naman hindi mo nilalahat?” Fan cries foul over Maine Mendoza’s generalization

  • Maine Mendoza clarifies that the Instagram Story post calling out fans for making up stories and editing ‘resibos’ was edited
  • Gullible fans are easy to be swayed by fake news
  • Some people are hating Maine Mendoza as they believe in fake news

In terms of fake news, Maine Mendoza is one of the most-targeted subjects, especially on edited tweets or posts on Facebook. We still don’t know why, but it seems like some of her fans can be easily swayed by it, without even checking if it’s real or not. In fact, during the last MMFF season, an edited tweet maliciously tried to anger sets of fans of Maine and Vice Ganda. And Maine Mendoza was having none of it.

In a tweet sent out as a response to the bitter fake post last Christmas Day, the actress denied ever writing a negative review of “Fantastica,” Vice Ganda’s entry to the 2018 MMFF. “Yikes! Paskong pasko wala pa ding magawang matino yung ibang tao. This is edited, guys,” she wrote.

And just recently, Maine directly denied that she called AlDub Nation “the worst fandom ever” in another viral post on Facebook as she replied, “Lol bakit ba ang hilig niyo mag edit ng “resibo?” Damay niyo pa si Patchypie at Mam Sheila. “Don’t us” din ho.”

Just yesterday, a fan with username @clangdalisay on Twitter tagged the Phenomenal star and said: “Hi, @mainedcm di mo kmi kaaway. never kming gumawa ng edited resibos. hindi ADN yun. Sana naman hindi mo nilalahat? #QDpamore”

Maine immediately replied with as attached screencap of the said Instagram Story and wrote, “Hello po, ito po ba ang tinutukoy niyo? Hindi po ako nagpost ng ganito. Inedit lang po to, fyi. Have a good day! 😊”

Seems like some of her fans are very much likely to believe in fake news huh?
