- 2nd season of ‘Kadenang Ginto’ is off to a good start
The hit TV series ‘Kadenang Ginto’ which is now on its 2nd season, set its own record with a new viewership rating at 24%, which exceeded their previous record of 23.5% that was set in the same week.
This is already the third time that the afternoon show broke its own viewership record in just a span of a week. The record 24% rating is nearly twice its rival’s ‘My Special Tatay’ which only registered a 12.1% viewership rating, according to Kantar Media.
The show’s recent success in its viewership rating can be attributed to one dramatic twists after another, especially as the main protagonist of the story, Cassie (Francine Diaz) finally learns to fend for herself, as she became the servant girl in the mansion that used toTV be hers.
Now on its 2nd season, the story revolves around the families left behind by the deceased Robert’s (Albert Martinez) fight over the Mondragon fortune. Daniela (Dimples Romana) and Marga (Andrea Brillantes) take control of the mansion when Romina (Beauty Gonzalez) is wrongfully incarcerated for the death of Robert.
Cassie, in the last episode fights back against the abuses done to her by Daniela as she goes to the police and reports the maltreatment that she received in the mansion.
