In a teaser video posted on the Facebook page of shawarma business Turks a few weeks ago, it showed a shot of Cruz’s back. It lasted only a few seconds but it already has 3.2 million views, and has been shared almost 800, with a large number of comments.

Cruz took an indefinite leave of absence from showbiz in October 2017 to attend to “personal matters”.

The rugged look of Cruz in the Turks video titled “Ang Pagbabalik” is way too far from his guy-next-door image and a lot of people in the industry are asking if this signals his return to the limelight. His fans are still wondering about the life he’s been living since his hiatus.
