Jennylyn Mercado extends her being ‘flattered’ to be considered as one of the potential names to play ‘Darna’

Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado gave her reaction toward being hailed by Netizens as one of the potentials to take on the role of Darna that Liza Soberano recently left. Also, she shared her possible next project under the Kapuso network via the remake of the Korean drama Descendants of the Sun.

In GMA Network’s media conference, for a new television series Love You Two, Mercado was asked by media regarding her opinion on the Netizens fielding in her name as one of the potential actresses to portray Darna. 

Mercado said that she is flattered and is grateful for being considered by the public to assume the iconid role of Darna..

“Di ko po masyadong naririnig, pero syempre kung isa man ako sa mga nabanggit syempre flattering naman po iyon para sa akin.”

She was also surprised to learn that the remake of action-packed Korean series Descendants of the Sun is in the offing and there is a possibility that she will be in the said project. Though she knew nothing about the plans, she assured that she is open to taking on the project if she will be offered to her.

“kakasimula palang ng Love You Two meron na agad.

“Pero kung ibibigay bakit hinde diba.”

Another question was thrown at her if she’d have another project with long-time boyfriend Dennis Trillo, would she be willingly to work with him [again].

“Syempre, bakit hinde naman diba. Kung gagawa ang network ng ganito, ng isang project na magkasama kami bakit naman hinde.”
