Actress and comedienne Alex Gonzaga has apologized to Mayor Edwin Olivarez for describing him as “may pagka madugas” during a campaign sortie for a party list she was endorsing.

Gonzaga personally went to see Mayor Olivarez at his office to offer her apologies.

“Alex Gonzaga personally apologized to Mayor Edwin Olivarez here at the Parañaque City Hall. Mayor Olivarez said no hurt feelings and understood that everything is just politics. ‘I appreciate na personal tayong nagkita today,’ Olivarez said. | via @mjfelipe”

Mayor Olivarez accepted Gonzaga’s apology and even appreciated the actress making the effort to visit city hall.

There had been reports that Alex Gonzaga would be banned from the city of Parañaque after the video of her insulting the mayor surfaced. Gonzaga also faced criticisms from netizens who called her out for her tactlessness.
