GMA Network’s ‘Hiram Na Anak’ with Yasmien Kurdi, Dion Ignacio, Leanne Bautista, Paolo Contis, and Lauren Young as stars; unfortunately had a short-lived run that lasted only for 10 weeks, and still had poor ratings till its finale.
The said series had its pilot episode on February 25 this year against ABS-CBN’s ‘Play House,’ which based on Kantar National TV Ratings (Urban +Rural), the pilot episode of the former garnered 8.6% while the ABS-CBN series got 15.3%..
Throughout the series, ‘Hiram Na Anak’ got a rating of 5% which pitted against ABS-CBN’s ‘Play House.’ Accordingly to NUTAM’s data, even if ABS-CBN’s ‘Play House’ ended and was replaced by ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit,’ the short-lived series still stayed on 5% rating while, ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit’ got 7-8%.
‘Hiram na Anak’ ended its run last Friday (May 3) with only 6.0% in NUTAM and 11.3% in Kantar Media while its counterpart ‘Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit’ got 7.1% and 17.8% in NUTAM and Kantar Media respectively. The show started and ended with very low scores, failed to beat its rivals.
‘Hiram Na Anak’ was replaced by ‘Kapuso Movie Festival,’ airing every Monday to Friday, before ‘Eat Bulaga.’
