‘Hiram Na Anak’ to be replaced by ‘Alex and Amie’?

The daytime drama series of GMA Network, ‘Hiram na Anak,’ ended its 10-week run last Friday, May 3. And to support the show, GMA Network did its best to promote its final episode. ‘Hiram na Anak’ aired it’s pilot episode on February 25, 2019 replacing ‘Don’t Dare to Dream’ on GMA Network’s pre-noontime block.

The program narrates the lives of married couple Miren (Yasmien Kurdi) and Adrian (Dion Ignacio), who are having difficulties conceiving a child. As a result, they resort to adopting Duday (Leanne Bautista), who will change their lives. When Duday’s father returns to take her back, the couple will fight for their right over their adoptive daughter.

Paolo Contis, Lauren Young, Empress Schuck, Vaness del Moral, Sef Cadayona, Maey Bautista, and Rita Avila are also part of the cast.

Yasmien Kurdi and child star Leanne Bautista both shared on their Instagram accounts, photos taken during their final taping.

Speculations say that ‘Hiram na Anak’ will be replaced by a comedy series starring Mikael Daez and Max Collins titled ‘Alex and Amie.’

It was in 2017 when Daez confirmed about the upcoming Kapuso comedy show. With no particular date, he gave a hint that it will be aired on the same year (2017). However, it didn’t happen due to unknown reasons.

Daez will play the role of a school teacher named Alex who will fall in love with a school nurse played by Max Collins.

Amie, an imaginary character, is a childhood friend of Alex who will play a vital role in the series.
