  • After Jimmy Bondoc’s rant against ABS-CBN, celebs show support for the Kapamilya Network
  • ABS-CBN celebrities, journalists, staff, netizens go on social media to show support for network
  • Jimmy Bondoc’s name was mentioned several times in two days by Vice Ganda on ‘It’s Showtime’

Comedian Vice Ganda on Saturday (May 25) mentioned Jimmy Bondoc’s name several times on the noontime ‘It’s Showtime.’

During the BidaMan segment, Vice was asked to read a spiel from the teleprompter but instead of saying Star Magic, he mentioned Jimmy Bondoc. “Ang mananalong Bidaman ay magiging instant Kapamilya na rin dahil magkakaroon na rin siya ng management contract na ima-manage ni Jimmy Bondoc!”

When Anne Curtis asked, “Sino nga po ba ang sumagot ng ‘Prinsipyo?'” during the KapareWho segment, Vice replied, “Si Jimmy Bondoc,” then laugh hysterically.

Jimmy Bondoc has gained notoriety after making a Facebook post expressing his excitement that a big TV network will finally close down. He was referring to the possibility ABS-CBN will not get its franchise renewed by 2020.

In 2018, Duterte threatened ABS-CBN with the non-renewal of its franchise by the time it expires due to allegations that it did not air his paid advertisement during the 2016 campaign.

Netizens reacted to the It’s Showtime episode.

Like Jimmy Bondoc, ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts Vice Ganda and Mariel Rodriguez are also proud staunch supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte. They were the celebrities who openly supported Duterte’s candidacy during the 2016 National Elections.

Bondoc also became one of the judges of ‘It’s Showtime’ in the past. He previously shared the president’s thank you message and birthday wish to Vice Ganda aired ‘It’s Showtime’ last March 30.
