GMA Network’s Afternoon series Dahil Sa Pag-ibig stars Sanya Lopez who plays Mariel, a woman who has a one night stand with her ex-boyfriend to save her husband from the death penalty.
Directed by Ricky Davao, the series is a must watch on a weekday afternoon.
Director Davao praised Lopez for her great acting skills and even compared her to Star of All Seasons, Vilma Santos.
“Nagulat ako kasi first time ko to work with her and she’s really good.”
Davao even acknowledged Lopez had no hesitations when it comes to acting which really reminds him of Vilma Santos as a young actress.
“She reminds me of the young Vilma Santos kasi, gaya ni Ate Vi noong araw, she doesn’t mind doing sexy scenes at magaling talaga sa drama.”
Sanya Lopez is also supposedly one of the actresses being considered to be the next Darna. A recent viral video of her shouting “Darna!” has got a lot of people excited.
