Singer-songwriter Janno Gibbs shared his sentiments on the additional excise tax on cigarettes that government plans to implement.
The Department of Finance (DOF) and Department of Health (DOH) are pursuing an increase in excise tax on cigarettes to stop or decrease smoking here in the country..
On his Instagram account, Janno Gibbs posted a picture of himself smoking along with the caption: “I’m a smoker kaligayahan ko na ito. Raising product prices won’t make me stop.”
Gibbs added that he makes sure that smokes far away from non-smokers.
“In smoking ban: I always make it a point to get away from non smokers… so they are not affected.”
Netizens were seemingly displeased with his post and slammed him for continuing to smoke.
Some even believe that because his smoking has caused his voice to become hoarse.
