Vice Ganda running for President in the next elections?

Vice Ganda has weighed in on the reports of the freezing of the bill for the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise.

ABS-CBN’s franchise will expire on March 20, 2020 and President Rodrigo Duterte has said in previous statements that he isn’t inclined to renew it due to his issues with the network.

The comedian made a statement on It’s Showtime

It’s Showtime co-host Vhong Navarro asked Vice on the show if he had any plans to run for a political position, especially after he showed familiarity with the anti-fencing law.

“Ay, naku, may balak ako. Antayin niyo ako, President agad,” Vice replied.

“Sabi ni Digong [President Duterte] sa akin, ‘Pagkatapos ko, ikaw magiging Presidente. Ako bahala,'” he added.

The Comedian said that people should wait for him to run for the presidency after the term of Duterte. He also stated that he will seek the highest position right away because he is still not sure if ABS-CBN will get its franchised renewed.

Vice later clarified that his statement was just a joke.
