- Ad industry’s best honored at 22nd 4As Agency of the Year Awards
- TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno and seven A.D. bag top honors
TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno took home the Agency of the Year Plate at the recently concluded 22nd 4As Agency of the Year Awards. The event was held last July 25 at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
Some of the country’s top advertising agencies, media agencies, and production houses came together to honor the best and the brightest creative minds at the 22nd Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As) Agency of the Year Awards.
Held last July 25 at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, the 22nd 4As Agency of the Year Awards brought together some of the most decorated agencies in the country to recognize them for their outstanding bodies of work and invaluable contributions to the industry and the Filipino society.
“The [4As Agency of the Year Awards] salutes those agencies that value the power of an idea and the polish of execution,” Norman Agatep, 22nd 4As Agency of the Year Awards Chairman said.
“We honor those that recognize how strategic creative work can uplift brands and influence market performance. We award companies that are managed to achieve business success and designed to retain talent. We honor those that value the need to give back to the industry and the communities that they serve.”
Bagging the night’s biggest award is TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, who took home the Agency of the Year Plate.
This is the eighth Agency of the Year Award for the said agency. Aside from the top prize, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno also took home four other plates, namely: the Best in Creative Award, Best in Creative Leadership and Community Service Award, the Digital Excellence in Creative and Effectiveness Award, and the Digital Excellence in Media Award.
Meanwhile, Seven A.D. got the Independent Agency of the Year Award. It is their fifth time to receive this prestigious title.

● Ogilvy Philippines – Activation Excellence for Execution
● Soundesign – Production Excellence for Audio
● RIOT, Inc. – Production Excellence for Post-Production
● Film Pabrika – Production Excellence for Film
● MediaCom Philippines – Overall Media Excellence Award and Media Excellence Award for Best in Management of Business
● Initiative Philippines – Media Excellence for Best in Media Creativity
● BBDO Guerrero – Best in Management of Business
● Publicis JimenezBasic – Best in Market Performance
Agatep also announced that he is passing the chairmanship of the Agency of the Year Awards to Portia Catuira, Managing Director of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno.
Agatep praised Catuira and said that she is the most qualified to run the program especially since she has served as the vice chair of the Agency of the Year Awards three times.
Catuira accepted the challenge of steering the industry’s most prestigious award-giving body, saying that she looks forward to working with people who are willing to invest their time and talent so that they may give back to the industry.
“Things we took for granted either no longer exist, or now exist in forms completely unrecognizable from a few years ago,” Catuira said. “We are in fast-moving times, and if we are to remain relevant, we must be willing to move with it.”
4As Chairman David Guerrero also announced during the event that the 4As is now the Official Festival Representative of the Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia, two of the most prestigious creative festivals in the world.
