Iya Villania denies stealing co-host job on ‘Mars Pa More’ from Suzi Abrera

  • Iya Villania is the new co-host of the GMA lifestyle show Mars Pa More
  • Suzi Abrera is the former co-host of Mars as the show was known on GMA News TV
  • Iya Villania feels happy being the new co-host but is sad that Suzi won’t be the host of Mars Pa More

It was recently revealed that Mars, the former GMA News TV talk show, will be moving to its new home on GMA Network and will be called Mars Pa More.

Mars was originally hosted by Camille Prats and Suzi Entrata Abrera but it seems like Suzi will no longer be part of the show as it was announced that Iya Villania will be the new host with Camille.

Iya clarified that she didn’t steal the hosting job from her friend. Being the host of a lifestyle show has been her longtime dream.

“Malaking pressure sa’kin to replace Suzi because she and Camille are so identified with ‘Mars’, actually, I have mixed feelings.”

She even shared her happiness that she was tapped to be the new co-host of Camille Prats for Mars Pa More but she is also sad for Suzi.

“Siyempre, I’m happy they chose me to be the new co-host of Camille, but nalungkot din ako at kinakabahan kasi ‘Mars’ is so identified with Camille and Suzi.”

She even shared that she and Suzi had a talk before all this happened.

“Nag-usap kami ni Suzi about this even before I learned akong ipapalit sa kanya.”

Suzi had joked that she will be replaced since she also hosts Unang Hirit.

“She said, ililipat nga sa morning ang Mars but hindi na siya puwede because she’s also in Unang Hirit. She even told me, ‘Baka ikaw ang ipapalit sa akin. I thin.’ She was joking pero nagkatotoo nga.”

Iya felt great and peaceful when she and Suzi had a talk after it was confirmed she was co-hosting Mars Pa More

“I never really thought na mapipili akong co-host ni Camille. I talked to Suzi again after that and she said she’s happy for me na ako ‘yung nakuhang kapalit niya. She even wished me good luck on my first taping day with Camille.

“So I felt peaceful after that. At least, walang masama ang loob sa’kin and no one can accuse me na inagaw ko ‘yung show sa kanya.”

Mars Pa More is set to air on July 8, Monday to Fridays on the early morning block. The show will be filled with fun-filled segments like family-friendly games, interesting crafts, musical numbers, and trends on social media.
