Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola is now out of Star Magic.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Mendiola’s boyfriend Luis Manzano confirmed the news saying Jessy is no longer under Star Magic.
“I don’t think under Star Magic pa siya,” he said.
While Luis confirmed Jessy’s decision to leave the Kapamilya talent management arm, the Kapamilya host is mum on whether Mendiola will be transferring to Viva.
“I guess, yung mga lipat-lipat issue, it’s for them to answer, for Jessy to answer and her new management. Viva? Sila na lang ang tanungin nyo kung sino na ang bagong nagha-handle kay Jessy,” Luis answered.
Jessy Mendiola first worked with ABS-CBN in 2004 as she was launched as one of the Star Magic Batch 15 talents. Her first project with the Kapamilya network was Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2.
But her biggest break was when she bagged the titular role of ABS-CBN’s remake of the hit Mexicanovela Maria Mercedes in 2013.
Meanwhile, her last teleserye with the Kapamilya network was You’re My Home in 2015 where she played Grace Fontanilla, the rebellious daughter of Gabriel and Marian Fontanilla played by Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. Her most recent TV appearance at ABS-CBN was in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as Andrea Collins.
Earlier this year Jessy was rumored to be transferring to GMA Network, but the actress denied the rumor saying she’s not entertaining that thought yet.
