- Kris Bernal is frustrated for not having any recognition and acting awards
- She said she will choose roles that will help her goal
- She will play an unusual character in Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko
Kris Bernal has been a Kapuso actress for more than 12 years and is known for her various roles in teleseryes. She headlined numerous GMA Network series after her win in the fourth season of StarStruck.
However, the actress recently became more vocal about her frustrations over having no recognition or awards as an actress.
Kris said that from now on, she’ll choose roles that will help her aim for an award as an actress.
“Kung hindi naman meaty ang role, parang pass muna ko,” Kris, who recently starred in the movie KontrAdiksyon with Jake Cuenca, said.
‘Yong puwede kang mabigyan ng recognition ‘yon na ‘yong habol ko eh,” Kris told entertainment reporters in an interview after the press conference of her newest GMA series Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko.
She also shared why she chose various roles.
“Like, for so long, every year may show ako, more than 12 na ang shows ko, hindi talaga ako nabibigyan ng award,” Kris said.
Kris believes she needs to work harder to get what she has been eyeing for in her past years in showbiz.

Kris likes her role in the upcoming horror series Hanggang Sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko where she’ll portray a ghost. According to her, it’s the kind of challenge she has been looking for.
Gusto ko ‘yon eh,” she said.
The actress was then asked if she felt the frustration over the lack of recognition for her hard work and if she questioned herself about her shortcomings as an actress.
The Kapuso actress will star, for the first time, as an antagonist on the upcoming horror series Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay ko. Her character, Naomi, will be a vengeful ghost trying to ruin the lives of her ex-boyfriend Matteo played by Rayver Cruz and his new love Yvie portrayed by Megan Young. The series will premiere on July 22 in GMA Network’s afternoon line up.
Among her notable series are Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin (2009), All My Life (2009), The Last Prince (2010), Koreana (2010-2011), Time of My Life (2011), Hiram Na Puso (2012), Coffee Prince (2012), Prinsesa Ng Buhay Ko (2013-2014), Hiram Na Alaala (2014-2015), Little Nanay (2015), Impostora (2017-2018), and Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko (2018-2019).
