After his stay in GMA Network for seven years, Rafael Rosell is now back to his home network, ABS-CBN.
He will start again as a Kapamilya by appearing in an episode of the legal drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo together with JM de Guzman.
Rafael and JM’s episode will tackle the case of falsification. This episode will also serve as a reunion project for Rafael and JM who previously worked together on Precious Hearts Romances series Midnight Phantom (2010) and Kristine (2010-2011).
A teaser for the fifth-anniversary offerings of Ipaglaban Mo was posted on the TV show’s Instagram account on July 11.
The actor started his acting career at ABS-CBN as one of the leading men of Jolina Magdangal in Star Cinema’s Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip in 2002.
Then his big break came in 2004 when he was paired with Claudine Barretto on the ABS-CBN fantaserye Marina.
He was also launched as a member of the all-male group Coverboys with Zanjoe Marudo, Jon Avila, Victor Basa, and Jake Cuenca in 2006.
Later in 2007, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 30th Gawad Urian Awards for his work in the indie film Rome & Juliet.
Rosell was best known for playing Brandon Brazil in the ABS-CBN romance drama Midnight Phantom (2010), Marco De Silva in Kristine (2010), and as Mayor Edson Zaguirre in Dahil Sa Pag-ibig (2012).
In August 2012, his contract with Star Magic expired and he decided to move to GMA Network. He then starred in Temptation of Wife with Marian Rivera.
Rafael was then given leading man roles in Kapuso shows such as Maghihintay Pa Rin (2013), The Borrowed Wife (2014), Second Chances (2015), Because of You (2015-2016), Sinungaling Mong Puso (2016), and Impostora (2017).
His guest role in the ongoing afternoon drama series Dragon Lady marked his last project with GMA Network.
