Ronnie Alonte admits he let fame get to his head early in his career

  • Ronnie Alonte admitted he boasted of his fame as an actor
  • He promised that he will never repeat this mistake again
  • He will soon star in the upcoming movie James And Pat And Dave

Ronnie Alonte admitted that he became boastful of his achievements in showbiz during the start of his career.

It was in 2015 when he was launched as a member of Hashtags, a dance group on the daytime show It’s Showtime.

“Kasi nung bago ho ako sa Hashtags, nabigyan ho ako ng break after GGV,” Ronnie said referring to the late-night Kapamilya talk show of Vice Ganda, Gandang Gabi Vice.

The dance group guested on the said show in 2015.

Aside from his daily exposure on It’s Showtime, he was given different acting opportunities on ABS-CBN. This includes his Star Cinema movie with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia in 2016 titled as Vince and Kath and James.

He was then paired up with Julia Barretto in the melodrama series A Love to Last.

He made several appearances on the longest-running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya including the portrayal of his own story.

He also starred in Seklusyon, a movie directed by Erik Matti in the same year.

“Ikinalaki ho ng ulo ko, noon po” he said during his guesting on Magandang Buhay last July 16.

Ronnie said that, after a time, he realized his mistakes.

But he said that he assures himself now that this will not happen again.

He also shared that he asked for his parents’ and friends’ advice about this matter.

Ronnie is currently a part of ABS-CBN’s primetime series The General’s Daughter led by Angel Locsin alongside his real-life girlfriend, Loisa Andalio.

The actor is set to top bill the movie sequel of Vince and Kath and James which is James And Pat And Dave with Loisa Andalio and Donny Pangilinan.

The movie will also be directed by Theodore Boborol, the director of VKJ. It was reported that the shooting began on March 19. However, its release date has yet to be announced.
