- Damiles is looking forward for more projects with GMA Network
Anjo Damiles was considered as one of the promising young stars when he was introduced in the hit ABS-CBN teleserye Forevermore in 2014. True enough, he was immediately given a lead role in 2015 and paired with Julia Montes in Doble Kara but it didn’t last long. The management gave Montes a stronger pairing with Sam Milby and Damiles’ character was downgraded to a supporting role.
Sadly, his next projects with ABS-CBN were all supporting roles and he was barely seen on TV. He was last seen in Wansapanataym Presents: Gelli In A Bottle last year, which starred Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte.
Now a Kapuso
Damiles together with his manager Jonas Gaffud, joined Daryl Zamora (Senior Talent Manager), Gigi Santiago-Lara (Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions) for the signing of contract at GMA Network.
Damiles expressed his happiness during the contract signing. “First time ko talaga na mangyari lahat ‘to so parang dream come true. This is the moment I have been waiting for my whole life,” he said to GMA Network.com after the signing of the contract.
He also thanked GMA Network for giving him a chance to showcase his talents. “Gusto ko sana ma-i-showcase ‘yung talents ko dito. Salamat sa GMA sa pagbibigay sa ‘kin ng chance para maipakita sa mga fans atsaka mga supporters ng GMA ‘tong talent ko.
“Atsaka sa mga Big Bosses, maraming, maraming salamat. Gustong-gusto ko lang ‘yung craft ko na very thankful talaga ako na napagbigyan ako ng GMA to show them my craft,” the young actor said.
When asked about the Kapuso actors he would like to work with, Damiles chose Gabbi Garcia and Klea Pineda in rom-com roles.
