- Yeng Constantino has issued a public apology to the doctor and the medical staff of Siargao District Hospital in Dapa
Yeng Constantino has issued a statement three days after her vlog about the incident in Siargao where her husband Yan Asuncion got into an accident.
“Regarding the Siargao incident, yung mga recent posts ko was brought about by my high emotions dahil sa nangyari sa aking asawa whose life at that time I thought was in grave danger. Pagkatapos kong kausapin ang mga taong malapit sa akin I realized I should have been more responsible in my posts.”
Constantino took to social media her sincerest apologies to Dr. Esterlina Tan and the staff of Siargao’s District Hospital in Dapa.
“I would like to apologize to Dr. Esterlina Tan and the other medical staff for the hurt that my post and vlog has caused them. Whatever concerns I had should have been coursed through the proper forum. It was unfair to call her out on social media and I’m taking down the posts and the vlog immediately. I’m deeply sorry for the hurt I caused her at sa lahat ng mga medical professionals who were affected by my posts.”
Yeng had posted on Facebook a photo of the doctor, the OIC (Officer in Charge) of the Siargao District Hospital, whom she accused of acting without concern and sense of urgency during her husband’s medical emergency.
The Kapamilya singer explained that her recent actions of posting her frustration on social media were brought about by her emotions. But later on, she realized that she should have been more responsible with her posts.
“There is no excuse. I will do my best to be more responsible next time.”
Constantino initially posted a blog about her experience at the hospital that attended to her husband’s case. She received backlash from netizens after she criticized a medical practitioner from the popular beach town Siargao. It went viral with more than 79,000 reactions, 33,000 comments, and 30,000 shares as of this writing. She also talked about what happened in a YouTube vlog which reached more than 1 million views.
