The Clash, an original singing competition of GMA Network, will soon be coming back for its second season. According to the news, Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas will be returning as judges on the show.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid was the host for the very first season, but she has since transferred to ABS-CBN where she was a judge on Idol Philippines.
The possible new hosts for the show are rumored to be Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz, but The Clash’s management hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Julie Anne and Rayver’s tandem worked out in GMA Network’s Studio 7.
Alden Richards was first rumored to be taking over hosting duties, but he’s now busy working for his comeback teleserye The Gift.
Meanwhile, the very first winner of The Clash, Golden Cañedo, immediately became a recording artist of GMA Music after winning the competition. She also tried acting and appeared on the weekly anthology Magpakailanman as herself in an episode about her life. Golden’s first album has yet to be released.
