Bela Padilla was present during the premiere of Belle Douleur last August 2, 2019.
Belle Douleur is a Cinemalaya 2019 entry that tells the story of a single woman, who in her 40 years finally finds the courage to break free and be irresponsible, leading her to a steamy love affair with a man who is younger than her.
The film is headlined by Mylene Dizon and Kit Thompson—Bela’s friend and co-star in Sino Ang may Sala?
It was not her being a supportive friend that captured the attention of the netizens, but the good-looking man sitting beside her during the premiere. A photo of Bela with the man sitting beside her is making rounds online and netizens can’t help but assume that he must be the date of the actress.
Some netizens identified the handsome foreigner as Niccolò Pizzocheri, the business partner of Nico Bolzico, Solenn Heaussaff’s husband.

Some are now shipping the good-looking pair, especially since it’s been a while since the actress got into a romantic relationship.
Bela was last linked to Neil Arce, a businessman-film producer and current fiancé of Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin.
Bela and Neil were in a romantic relationship for four years until the former confirmed their breakup in January 2017. She also revealed that “lack of time” was the reason for their split and clarified that they remained as food friends.
Meanwhile, Neil is happily engaged to The General’s Daughter star.
After Neil, the Kapamilya actress was also linked to actors Zanjoe Marudo, JC Santos, and even to her second cousin Daniel Padilla. However, Bela cleared the rumors and clarified that they were only friends.
Aside from Bela’s alleged romance with Niccolo, the actress-scriptwriter was one of the speakers during the first Vivacon 2019 that was held last August 3 and 4 at the World Trade Center in Paranaque.
In her speech, she revealed her processes in writing, how she comes up with a script, and how her mood and state of emotions affect her way of writing.

She said, “I noticed, whatever I write at the moment is kind of what my mindset is.”
She also revealed that the script of Camp Sawi materialized because of her ex-boyfriend. Last Night on the other hand, which was about suicide, was written during her darkest days when she felt so exhausted personally.
Moving forward, she went on: “So, you will notice that, na yung themes ng sinusulat ko, is basically what you’re going through right now in life or something completely different.”
The actress said, “Basically, what I’m saying is just listen to what your head and what your heart is telling you. Follow it, write it down.”
Based on her past experiences, the actress stressed that not all your works will be appreciated. Out of ten scripts, there’s a possibility that only one or two will be chosen, but not all. However, she encouraged the audience to keep on writing, and instead of being discouraged, they have to figure out where they work best, what genre really suits their way of writing.
According to her, it is important to pitch your scripts in a way how you picture the plot and the characters of the story. For her, pitching is selling your script to the bosses like it’s the best script in the world.

“Also its a big part [pala] of being a scriptwriter. You have to pitch your scripts guys. Kailangan mo siyang ibenta, kung paano mo siya nakikita sa utak mo. Hindi mo pwede na ikuwento lang na kung nakaharap kana kay boss Vic at kay boss Vincent, hindi mo pwedeng sabihin na, ‘So bale po may dalawa pong character, tapos na-in love po sila, tapos nagka amnesia po yung isa, tapos ampon pala yung isa.’ Hindi, you have sell it like its the best script in the world. So, script writing is a long process. But once you get through with it, it’s very rewarding.”
