Plan to boycott ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ fails; movie past 800 million mark already

  • Fans of Alden Richards didn’t succeed with their plan to boycott Hello, Love, Goodbye
  • Some fans found the boycott unfair so they still showed their support for Hello, Love, Goodbye
  • Hello, Love, Goodbye has already breached 800 million pesos

Hello, Love, Goodbye starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards is a certified blockbuster but it had to overcome some obstacles from the beginning.

Solid fans of AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza’s tandem) had planned to boycott the film since it was Alden’s first movie without Maine as his leading lady.

“For the remaining solid supporter of Alden & Maine let us be firm to boycott ‘ALL SOLO PROJECTS’ para maramdaman ng GMA, ABS-CBN, at APT ang effect on their revenues, viewership etc. # ALDUBLavishLove,” they proposed.

Another netizen also wrote, “Ako ay isang ALDUB/MAICHARD DEFENDER. IBIG SABIHIN BOYCOTT AKO. Alam nyo na kung anong movie, TS, at mga products na I BOYCOTT ko. Di ko na sa-isahin pa. May mga tamang pag-iisip naman tayo.”

Alden and Maine’s last film Imagine You and Me grossed only 50 million while Hello, Love, Goodbye has earned 838,514,653.70 pesos worldwide as of August 23, 2019 and is still going strong at the box office. Considering these numbers, the boycott appears to have failed.
