Angel during her Darna years at GMA Network
During Angel’s Darna TV series in GMA, she became the network’s prime actress with as high as 47.1% ratings based on AGB Neilsen for its pilot episode. It garnered 52.1% ratings in just a matter of three days.
Transferring from GMA to ABS-CBN, some of her followers thought it would be the end of her career. But, the Queen of Primetime TV never fails to amaze the viewers as well as her followers, by obtaining 34% TV ratings for The General’s Daughter on its pilot episode.
Angel’s continuous supports for the next Darna
When Liza Soberano accepted the Darna role and eventually had to let it go due to a finger injury, Angel defended Liza and said:
“Kung meron mang taong makakaintindi sa pinagdadaanan niya ngayon, mas ako ‘yun.Nag-aalala ako sa kaniya, sana okay lang siya. Hindi kasi ito ang katapusan ng lahat for Liza eh, alam nating marami pang mangyayari. Sana hindi niya hayaang ma-define siya ng injury na ‘yan kasi marami pa siyang puwedeng i-offer.”
