GMA Network recently premiered a series that will surely keep weekday afternoons sizzling. Starring Arra San Agustin, Juancho Trivino, and Thea Tolentino, Madrasta aired its pilot episode last October 7, 2019.
It is also the comeback show of Almira Muhlach after 12 years.
The story revolves around Audrey Segundo played by Arra who lost hope in life when she got deported from aboard. But then she met Sean Ledesma (played by Juancho) who believes in her. Sean had been abandoned by his wife Katherine Viduya, played by Thea, which left him devastated.
Audrey helps him out and both of them eventually fall in love and she become the second mother to Sean’s kids. But, Katherine returns and plans on getting Sean back to get money out of him. This will lead to the clash between Katherine, the wife, and Audrey, the Madrasta.
With this intense story line, the show trended with its first pilot episode last October 7, 2019.
According to Kantar Media. Madrasta garnered an 11.4% in rating while ABS-CBN’s Sandugo got 15.4%. On the next day, Madrasta got 11.0% having a close fight with Sandugo with 14.9%%.
Meanwhile in NUTAM, Madrasta received a pilot episode of 5.2% versus Sandugo‘s 5.9%. On Tuesday (October 8), Madrasta adjusted up to 5.8% while Sandugo hit 6.2%.
