‘Unbreakable’ director Mae Cruz Alviar to direct KathNiel’s upcoming teleserye?

“I’m honored that for my comeback, I’m given this beautiful movie, with a beautiful story and beautiful casts. I am challenged. Ganunpaman, I did my best,” she said.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be returning once again to the small screen and they might also be reuniting with one of their former directors.

Director Mae Cruz Alviar retired in 2017 after directing Kathniel in Can’t Help Falling in Love. She took time off to concentrate on building a family.

Unfortunately, things did not work out so she returned to filmmaking with Unbreakable starring Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, and Richard Gutierrez.

“I’m honored that for my comeback, I’m given this beautiful movie, with a beautiful story and beautiful casts. I am challenged. Ganunpaman, I did my best,” she said.

As for her next project, there are rumors that she will be reuniting with KathNiel for their TV comeback.

Last September in an interview with Pep.ph at Kathryn’s thanksgiving party, she happily announced that she and DJ were reuniting for a project next year.

“Next year, babalik na kami. Excited kami, kinailangan itong time na ito para makapag-recharge, at full blast na kami pagbalik.”
