During the University of the Philippines versus Ateneo University UAAP Season 82 match, ABS-CBN Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson was spotted on the sidelines watching the game.
Even the official Twitter account of Mall of Asia posted his photo at the venue.

While one of the cameras was focused on Gerald, it was unclear if the crowd was chanting “boo” towards the players or towards Gerald.
People on Twitter started discussing whether the boo was for the actor and if it was, then netizens think he deserved it. Others believe that it was one of the highlights of this game for UP vs Ateneo in Season 82.
Was watching at home and i didn't hear it. But if true, Great job guys!

The UP crowd booing Gerald Anderson and chanting "BEA" is the real highlight of the game

However, there were still netizens and people from the audience during the game who said that the crowd was not shouting “boo” when Gerald was shown on camera.
In addition to that, a netizen explained that Gerald may be a cheater but he doesn’t deserve to be booed on National TV.
Here are the tweets:
Why boo Gerald Anderson? Yes. He cheated but he never deserves to be booed in public and in a National TV program.

Bea Alonzo’s breakup with Gerald Anderson due to the latter allegedly having an affair with Julia Barretto made the headlines a few months ago. The negative publicity that the actor received at the time is probably one of the reasons his TV series A Soldier’s Heart has been delayed.
Cast member Yves Flores shared during the A Soldier’s Heart press conference: “Well, di ko rin masabi. Di rin naman siguro, pero dahil yun nga, wala pa kaming time slot, natagalan. Kaya nga pansin naman ng mga tao na ‘O nasa’n ka na, nag-quit ka na ba or ano?’ Hindi.”
