Actress Miles Ocampo is still single.
On the sidelines of the red-carpet premiere of the romantic comedy film Write About Love at the SM Megamall on Monday night, Miles said she’s currently not dating anyone.
The 22-year-old actress said she is focusing on her career now.
“Walang love life. Trabaho muna,” Miles told the media.
The Kapamilya actress was previously reported to be in a relationship with actor Marco Gumabao.
Miles top-bills the upcoming movie, Write About Love.
The Kapamilya actress plays a young movie writer who is paired up with an experienced seasoned film writer played by Rocco Nacino.
The two screenwriters are forced to collaborate and rewrite the script of an unfinished love story of the characters played by actress Yeng Constantino and actor Joem Bascon.
Miles said she’s flattered that director Crisanto Aquino, who co-wrote the script with Janyx Regalo, thought of her when he was writing the script.
“Sabi po ni Direk Cris habang sinusulat (script) niya raw po, ako raw po iyong nasa isip niya,” the actress said.
“So, iyon po… Ever since ramdam ko iyong tiwala na meron si Direk sa akin. Kaya thankful ako dahil ito iyong pinaka-big project ko,” she added.
Direk Cris earlier said that Miles is perfect for the role because of her authenticity.
He said the actress and her character in the movie have similarities – one is being a writer.
Miles is currently taking up creative writing at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.
The actress said she has already written a script of her own. Miles said it is about a friendship, which she likes to turn into a movie someday. If given a chance, Miles said she would like fellow actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes to star in the film.
A movie-within-a-movie, Write About Love is TBA Studios’ official entry to the 45th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The film opens on Christmas Day, December 25.
