Jasmine Curtis-Smith shares Janine Gutierrez’s reaction to Bong Revilla Jr’s TV comeback

Jasmine Curtis Smith shared Janine Gutierrez’s sentiments on Bong Revilla Jr’s TV comeback

Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith agreed with Janine Gutierrez’s reaction to the TV comeback of actor-politician Bong Revilla Jr.

In an interview with PUSH, Jasmine was asked about the controversial TV comeback of Bong Revilla Jr.

“In that case itself specifically, wala akong masabi maybe just, ‘I second you, Janine.’ Gano’n na lang,” said Jasmine.

“Let’s prioritize the stories we want to tell the people [and who] we want to put up on the stage and showcase.

“Because ang mga taong nilalagay natin sa mga entabladong ‘yan, hindi lang sila entertainment, but also they are a source of inspiration, so I think when it comes to choosing a cast, or stories to tell, we should be a bit more sensitive nowadays,” she added.

Janine has been at the center of controversy after her two-word tweet made rounds on social media and touched the nerve of talent manager-columnist Lolit Solis.

Janine’s tweet

On December 18, Janine tweeted “Oh God” in response to GMA Network’s announcement about the upcoming Kapuso show of Sen. Revilla Jr.

That tweet has gained for Janine admiration from the majority of netizens.

But not all agreed with her, most especially Lolit Solis who slammed her via a lengthy Instagram post.

In her Instagram post, Lolit blasted Janine for being “so cruel” not to give Revilla Jr. a second chance.

Solis also brought up Janine’s poor box office and TV ratings performance which according to her would not help Revilla’s comeback.

How can she be so cruel for a second chance to a co actor like Bong without even thinking if not for the goodness of people she won't be where she is today. I respect what she feels, or her political beliefs, pero sana inisip niya more than anyone else, siya dapat ang mas maging magaan sa pagbibigay chance sa isang tao na gusto bumalik sa pinanggalingan niyang mundo. Sayang, love pa naman kita, now takot na ako dahil baka maging judgemental at I am cleaner than you are attitude ka rin sa akin dahil sa mga nagawa kong pagkakamali, you will never give me a second chance. Hoping you will do well, kumita at mag rate mga ginagawa mong project. #classiclolita #takeitperminutemeganun #72naako
