Vice Ganda recalls past rift with Coco Martin

“Sabi niya (Coco) okay na akong sumusunod sa pelikula mo, na first runner-up lagi. Sabi kong ganoon, uy hindi naman. Okay din ang first runner-up.

For the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, Vice Ganda recalled a past rift with his best friend Coco Martin.

As per the Unkabogable Star, it was just a petty fight between them that they decided not to speak to each other, but keep on reiterating about the issue with mutual friends.

Vice recalled, “Very minimal. Tapos nagkita kami, wala.

“Yung mga kaibigan namin, parang ‘Sira-ulo yung dalawang ‘to. Okay naman sila, pero andami nilang chika. Kanya-kanya kayong sumbungan. Ganoon na yung relationship namin ni Coco.”

Last November 12, 2019, Vice and Coco accidentally met in a restaurant where the latter volunteered to pay for his best friend’s dinner.

It was during that day that Coco admitted that he will always be the second-best next to Vice, which the latter denied. Aside from acting in and directing FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Coco is doing the same for his MMFF entry 3Pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon with Jennylyn Mercado and Ai-ai delas Alas.

Vice narrated, “Sabi niya (Coco) okay na akong sumusunod sa pelikula mo, na first runner-up lagi. Sabi kong ganoon, uy hindi naman. Okay din ang first runner-up.

In everything that has happened in the past between the two, Vice is grateful that their friendship remains solid.

Back when Vice first received the offer to be one of the hosts in It’s Showtime, he called Coco immediately to share the good news.
