Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil air opinion regarding mental health

Mental health is never a joke.

In line with the issue involving Nadine Lustre, Ricky Lo, and Jobert Sucaldito, the Make It With You stars were asked about their opinion about depression and mental health.

According to Enrique Gil, mental health is a crisis all around the world which some people fail to recognize.

Enrique said, “It’s very serious, no matter what you feel when you get depressed… Minsan kasi pag may naiisip kang masama and then you take it and then you keep it inside for a long period of time. I’m sure everybody experiences it but they don’t really consider it as mental health, pero it’s serious and I think it’s a crisis all around the world.”

Enrique also shared that he had a friend who was able to fight depression but admitted that during that time, he was scared to lose his best friend.

He continues, “I have friends, really close friends before that dealt with it. Inamin niya sa akin (I) almost killed myself that scared me, he’s my best friend. He was crying when he told that and never siyang ganon it was one problem. Mga ganong klase, you don’t think na baka problema lang. how you think about it, it’s your mental state of mind and how you control it.”

Meanwhile, Psychology major Liza Soberano also stated her opinion on mental health.

She said, “I’m a Psychology major so, I do not take mental health lightly. I think we should step up and start understanding all the different illnesses that people deal with. I think we should start educating ourselves about it. So that we can pinpoint someone is going through something. “

Furthermore, Liza emphasized that people should be sensitive enough as we don’t know when someone is going through depression. Mental health is never a joke.

“We shouldn’t make jokes or talk lightly about different mental health like medical terms kasi we don’t know kung ano ung pinagdadaanan nung tao.”

Liza and Enrique’s upcoming TV series Make It With You is set to launch its pilot episode this coming Monday, January 13, 2020. Directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, LizQuen’s Make It With You also includes Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, Katya Santos, Eddie Gutierrez, and Fumiya Sankai.
