Bong Revilla Jr. admits personal “tampo” with ABS-CBN, stands for what is rightful for the franchise

“Ako personally based on my experience marami akong tampo sa ano na yan pero maninindigan ako sa tama. Kelangan sa tama tayo manindigan,” was Revilla’s meaningful answer.

Senator Bong Revilla admitted he has personal issues with ABS-CBN but promised that he will stand for what is rightful regarding its franchise renewal.

In a presscon/thanksgiving party with the reporters, Revilla shared his sentiments about the Kapamilya network’s franchise renewal.

During the event, he was asked about his take on the issue and its chances in the Senate.

“Basta ang masasabi lang natin dyan ah nasa house pa yan. Kasi hangga’t hindi pumapasa yan sa kongreso kahit na ipasa namin yan sa Senado hindi pa rin sya valid. So kelangan mag emanate sya sa house at pag naapprove na yan dun sa tingin ko saka namin itatackle sa senate,” he said.

“Ako personally based on my experience marami akong tampo sa ano na yan pero maninindigan ako sa tama. Kelangan sa tama tayo manindigan,” was Revilla’s meaningful answer.

ABS-CBN’s franchise is about to expire in March 2020.

Currently, the House of Representatives has yet to schedule a hearing for the 9 pending bills aiming to renew the Kapamilya network’s franchise.

Meanwhile, the Revillas and ABS-CBN has had a good relationship way back when the network acquired the rights of the Agimat series.

In 2009, ABS-CBN released Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla in a 4-part series of the weekly fantasy program ABS-CBN presents.

Bong made an appearance in one of the series’ “Pepeng Agimat” where his son Jolo was the lead actor.

Meanwhile, Revilla is set to come back on television via GMA network’s Agimat ng Agila.

However, netizens were unhappy with his TV comeback as they quickly criticized GMA after it was revealed that his new program that will replace Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.

But Bong and GMA executives seemed deaf to the criticisms, saying the project will definitely push through.

The mere fact na naibalik siya sa Senado. Ibig sabihin ay marami ang sumusuporta sa kanya, kumpara sa mga basher niya.

“Kaya tuloy lang ang project na gagawin niya, walang pagbabago.” said GMA executive.
