Kapuso stars Christian Bautista and Kyline Alcantara are open to welcoming Kapamilya stars if ever the network fails to secure their franchise renewal.
During the presscon of their concert ‘The Sweetheart and the Balladeer Fun Night Only’, Christian Bautista and Kyline Alcantara were asked about their take on the impending franchise renewal of their former home network ABS-CBN.
At first, Christian was adamant about not answering the question.
“Next question, next question. No answers to this, whatever it is, we’re not gonna go there,” he said.
But when asked if they would welcome Kapamilya stars if ever they transferred to GMA Network, Christian said anyone is welcome.
“Anyone is welcome, that’s the answer to that. Thank you,” Bautista answered.
For her part, Kyline also said it she would be happy to be reunited with former colleagues from ABS-CBN.
“Of course I will be very very happy, like super. Iisa lang naman po ang mundo nang showbiz so welcome naman po siguro sila. Hindi po ako may-ari ng network ah so…hahaha,” said Kyline.
Bautista and Alcantara started their respective careers at ABS-CBN.
Christian was a product of Kapamilya singing competition Star in a Million. He was also a regular performer on ASAP before he transferred to GMA network.
Kyline, on the other hand, started with ABS-CBN in 2012 via Precious Heart’s Romances: Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin. But she became more popular when she portrayed the kontrabida role in the Kapamilya remake of popular ’80s soap opera Annaliza.
Christian and Kyline are currently promoting the third leg of their concert “The Sweetheart and the Balladeer Fun Night Only” which will be held at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan on February 8.
Also included in the concert are Julie Anne San Jose, Donita Nose, and Tekla. The concert will be directed by Paolo Valenciano.
