Robin Padilla dares network stars to reveal contract details to compare with workers’ pay

“Hindi lahat sa mundo ay Showbiz at Politics one way or the other the revolution of the people has to be realized!”

The “Bad Boy” of the Philippines Robin Padilla challenged ABS-CBN and GMA Network stars to reveal their contracts with indicated salaries to compare with employees’ compensation and treatment inside their respective networks.

Several celebrities have come forward to support ABS-CBN as it faces franchise renewal issues that have been delayed in Congress even as the deadline looms near.

A network shutdown would mean thousands of employees would be left without jobs. In reaction to this, Robin dared the stars to reveal their salaries so it could be compared to what an average employee gets.

According to the veteran action star, if these stars prove that the network provides equal treatment, that’s the only time he thinks it’s valuable to fight for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.

As a solid Duterte supporter, he emphasized that he is not against the ABS-CBN franchise, all he ever wanted is to be fair and look on the reality of life.

“I am not against abscbn franchise but we have to be real this is the only chance na kayo ang maging daan para mabago ang takbo ng working state nating lahat sa entertainment industry magpagamit muna kayo sa mahihirap sa mga taong nagdala sa inyo sa kasikatan bago sa mga mayayaman.”

“I am for abscbn renewal pero include the agreement of Chairwoman Liza DIño and Secretary Silvestre Bello in there mission and vision una muna tayong magserbisyo sa mga tao natin sa loob natin! sa bakuran natin! bago tayo mangapitbahay. Anytime ako anywhere ilabas natin mga contract natin let us compare our salaries to our kapamilya co workers at isama niyo na mga kapuso at mga kapatid.”

At the end of his Facebook post, Robin reiterated that the revolution of the people has to be realized.

“Magpalabasan na tayo para makita ng publiko let us give it to them tutal napakadrama ninyo gawin na nating teleserye punuin natin ng revelations ang isyu na ito na dapat pinag uusapan sa korte at congress. Hindi lahat sa mundo ay Showbiz at Politics one way or the other the revolution of the people has to be realized!”

Robin’s post has earned mixed reactions from netizens, some agreed while some expressed dismay and questioned his talent fee during his time as one of the judges in ABS-CBN’s Pilipinas Got Talent.

Other netizens called him an ingrate, especially since ABS-CBN gave him the chance to revive his career.

ABS-CBN Franchise Renewal Update

The House Committee on Legislative Franchises Vice Chairman Rep. Antonio Albano said they don’t have enough time to prioritize ABS-CBN Franchise renewal bills, and they cannot skip the other bills submitted right before the giant network submitted an application for renewal.

“Hindi ganun kadali mag-schedule ng hearing. Ang daming nangyayari in the past few months that we did not have the time to sit down and to see whether we can calendar the ABS-CBN franchise.

Vergel Santos of Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility believes that the President’s verbal threats and SolGen Jose Calida’s quo warranto against ABS-CBN are undeniably part of a personal vendetta.
