Toni Gonzaga believes showing up at work is the best she can do amidst ABS-CBN franchise issue

“Just do whatever it is that is asked of us. Be ready.”

During the media launch of Cetaphil, Toni Gonzaga said she firmly believes that the best she can do amidst the ABS-CBN franchise renewal issue is to show up at work and continue being a professional.

Toni said: “I think the best thing that we can do right now is just to be present. Just to show up in our work. Just to be professional. Just do whatever it is that is asked of us. Be ready. Know our scenes. Keep doing what we usually do.”

Though she seems to be playing safe on the issue, Toni hopes that 11,000 employees will not be affected whatever will be the outcome.

Meanwhile, Toni’s co-actors in Four Sisters and a Wedding, Enchong Dee, Bea Alonzo, and Angel Locsin have shown their full support for ABS-CBN.

Angel utilized her Instagram account to narrate the threats and consequences to 11,000 employees if ABS-CBN will not be able to obtain the 25-year franchise renewal.

Enchong who played CJ in Four Sisters and a Wedding urged fellow artists to make a stand through his Twitter account.

Bea as Bobbie, the eldest child in Salazar family simply wrote “Kapamilya” when she posted a photo of ABS-CBN’s logo with tagline “In the service of the Filipino.”

Angeline Quinto who played CJ’s chacharat girlfriend stated on her Twitter account that it’s their duty to fight and support the giant network, as ABS-CBN has changed thousands of lives of Filipinos.

In line with this, Toni, who portrayed the role of Teddie Salazar in the film, has been the punchline of online memes for being a solid supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte and Bongbong Marcos along with her sister Alex Gonzaga. In fact, Toni and Alex both attended a private dinner with President Duterte at Malacanang Palace.
