With its earlier timeslot, the Philippine adaptation of Descendants of the Sun is now soaring in the ratings game.

From the second spot in GMA Network’s Telebabad line up, the Pinoy adaptation of the hit Korean series now takes the first spot airing after Kapuso primetime newscast 24 Oras beginning March 2, Monday.

Descendants of the Sun is now going head to head against long-running Kapamilya action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Meanwhile,Anak ni Waray Anak ni Biday tries to compete with LizQuen’s Make it With You in the second spot.

Based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, here are the ratings of Descendants of the Sun from February 24 to February 28 in its previous timeslot:

February 24, Monday:10.1%
February 25, Tuesday:10.9%
February 26, Wednesday:10.2%
February 27, Thursday:9.8%
February 28, Friday: 10.1%

For its new timeslot, Descendants of the Sun recorded an increase with a 10.8% rating on March 2, Monday. Descendants of the Sun even got a higher rating on Tuesday (March 3) with 11.1% but went back to 10.6% on Wednesday (March 4).

Despite the positive change in the ratings of the Pinoy adaptation series, Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano still holds its number one spot.

With its earlier timeslot, Descendants of the Sun fans are now hoping for the show’s continuous improvement in the ratings game since it is now placed in the most-watched spot in primetime.
