March 10th, 2020 – Singapore – After premiering via triple j’s Good Nights last night, Australian rock favourites, Hands Like Houses are revealing a new track today called “Headrush”. Fans can check out the track at smarturl.it/HLHheadrush.

On the genesis of the new track, the band explain that it was born from a busy summer of touring with little rest and time to unwind, adding, “…now that things have cooled down somewhat we thought it’d be sick to bring some good old windows-down, head-bobbing, ground-pounding vibes to throw yourself into a new decade to.”

Digging into “Headrush” further, the five-piece add that the single is a call to arms to anyone facing a daunting task or decision. The band shares “’Headrush’ is all about pivotal moments – the big call, the big play, the big push – and the voice inside your head that says ‘yeah, nah’ when your heart’s saying ‘hell yeah!’ You’ve got this. Make it count.”

Having spent the summer on an extensive headline tour of the US and appearance at Shiprocked, Hands Like Houses return to home soil to play Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney later this month, sharing the bill with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Jimmy Eat World, Clutch, In Hearts Wake and more.

Hands Like Houses has been heralded by top tier press including Billboard, Loudwire, Radio.com, Rocksound, Alternative Press and more. Over the last few months, the band has seen incredible success worldwide with impressive radio and streaming playlist adds with “Monster” landing a #1 spot on SiriusXM’s Octane channel, while also garnering a multitude of adds on streaming playlists. The single has also been chosen as the official theme song for WWE’s pay-per-view the “Super Show-Down” and has also been heard on Monday Night Football.

Born and bred in Canberra, Australia, Hands Like Houses – comprising of Trenton Woodley (vocals), Alexander Pearson (guitar), Joel Tyrrell (bass), Matthew Parkitny (drums) & Matt “Coops” Cooper (guitar) – are one of Australia’s biggest rock exports. Their critically acclaimed fourth album, ‘-Anon’, impressively debuted in the Top 10 Billboard Independent Albums, Hard Music Albums, Alternative Albums and Rock Albums charts and #4 on the ARIA Chart (Australia).
