Kapuso TV host Solenn Heusaff urged the Department of Health to help the celebrities who are exerting efforts to provide for the needs of health workers as well as the community during the COVID-19 crisis.
In her Instagram story, Solenn shared news regarding the sudden increase in doctors who have died due to COVID-19.
She said: “This needs to be addressed RIGHT NOW. Everyone is working hard to getting/making supplies for our heroes. Can’t our leaders do the same and get what they need?”
In addition to that, Solenn also revealed that she’s been receiving a lot of messages from health workers asking for assistance.
Solenn asked the DOH to step up in responding to the needs of medical professionals in these trying times.
To make sure that her concerns will reach out DOH, Solenn tagged the official account of DOH on Twitter.
@DOHgovph why arent containers of PPE suits being ordered?? Why are civilians the ones finding ways to make some or aquire of some for our frontliners. Help us out here!

As of this writing, Solenn and her husband Nico Bolzico are coordinating with Angel Locsin and Neil Arce to provide shelter for health workers by donating tents.
Nico said: “What we decided to do is we’re going to donate one tent each for the cause and second is we will put a link of the fundraising to fund the cause led by Angel and Neil. That is inspirational, that inspires us a lot. So that’s why we decided to help out with our own way.”
Solenn was not the first Kapuso actress urging the Department of Health to do their job and help the health workers. Janine Gutierrez called out DOH on Thursday afternoon to have some sense of urgency as the local government units are trying their best to provide the necessities for frontliners and even to their constituents.
The LGU's are trying. Konting urgency naman @DOHgovph! https://t.co/FACyFyryfC
