Mocha Uson, unavailable on Facebook after threat of mass reporting from netizens

Netizens, who were fed up with Uson’s lies, planned a mass reporting of her Facebook page.

A reckoning has come.

After years of influencing social media users with her fake news and constant attacks on anti-government critics, the Mocha Uson Blog is feeling the heat.

On Friday (March 20) evening around 8 pm, Mocha unpublished her Facebook page to avert netizens’ plans of mass reporting.

Mocha and her administrators’ move was triggered by concerted efforts from netizens who are already fed up by the lies she is spreading.

Film director Antoinette Jadaone started idea to mass report the page.

In her post, Jadaone asked her social media friends to have a unified time to report the page because its more effective way for Facebook to took notice.

Aside from Jadaone, anti-corruption coalition page Bantay Nakaw Coalition also made a call for mass reporting with the same unified agenda.

The Mocha Uson Blog has recently caught the ire of netizens again because of its recent malicious post against Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

On Thursday, March 19, Mocha Uson Blog’s admin Banat By made a post slamming Vico for allowing tricycles to continue plying in Pasig.

That post could be the last straw as netizens flocked to the page after that, slamming Mocha and her page admins for sowing intrigues in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis that the country is currently experiencing.

Mocha has been notorious for spreading fake news most especially against government critics.

Some of the most notable fake news spread by her Facebook page were Senator Trillanes’ hidden wealth, ABS-CBN shutdown propaganda where she changed the company’s slogan to ‘In The Service of the Oligarchs’, the Study Now NPA Later post where she posted the names and faces of students being tagged as members of the Communist Party of the Philippines and many others.

As of press time, the Facebook page is still unpublished after one attempt of putting it in published mode.

Meanwhile, Mocha’s manager Byron Cristobal, who is the owner of the Banat By Facebook page, continued his social media rampage slamming netizens who are slamming him and Mocha.

In a series of posts right after Mocha Uson Blog page has been deactivated, Cristobal taunted their critics for focusing so much attention on Mocha and himself. He also called netizens reporting their pages as losers who must have gone crazy because of the quarantine.
