‘Ilaban Natin ‘Yan’ features controversial issues and solves conflicts in the community

  • Ilaban Natin ‘Yan‘ won in the rating

GMA Network Saturday program ‘Ilaban Natin ‘Yan‘ hosted by Vicky Morales won over its rival program Ipaglaban Mo of ABS-CBN.

According to AGB Nielsen NUTAM, Ilaban Natin ‘Yan earned a rating of 6.3% versus ‘Ipaglaban Mo‘s 5.1% last March 7, 2020.

“Ilaban Natin ‘Yan” featured a controversial story titled “Kalbaryo”. It talked about the conflict between neighbors where the abuse happens inside the home. Reina accused Noel, the husband of her niece Sharmaine, of showing his naked body to her 71-year-old bedridden mother.

During the confrontation with “Ate ng Bayan” Vicky Morales, Noel said that it wasn’t his intention to walk naked in front of Reina’s mother. He had just finished taking his bath and Sharmaine was not around to hand him a towel so he had to go out naked.

The story was also re-enacted by Ahron Villena, Tina Paner, Erlinda Villalobos, and Sanya Lopez.

Meanwhile, ‘Ipaglaban Mo‘ featured the story of deaf and mute Rhea (Mary Joy Apostol) who is loved by her doting parents and three brothers. But when her family failed to give what she wanted, Rhea commits a reckless action that puts her in harm’s way with a stranger. Her new friend soon takes advantage of her innocence and disability. Her family serves as her mouth and ears as they fight the battle to unveil the truth and give her justice.

Both programs aim to seek justice and to help people to settle conflicts.
