At the presscon for the afternoon teleserye Love Thy Woman, the supporting cast of newbie celebrities expressed how they approach veteran stars to avoid the misconception that they are snobbish.
Teen Star Tori Garcia said that she usually smiles first so that she would calm down when she’s around with veteran actors, “Bigatin po talaga sila. The first thing I would do para kumalma ako kahit nag sha shake na po ang knees ko. I’m very [shy], I’m an introvert. Mahirap for me to like open a conversation. Yung ginagawa ko po first is smile. Mag smi-smile muna ako.”
“Then pag naramdaman ko na po yung eye connection nila or they look back at me and smile dun lang po ako lalapit. It’s like a sign na “hi!” Okay, tinignan niya ako ‘Hi po ako si Tori Garcia.”
Former GirlTrend member Mikee Agustin said she really doesn’t have a hard time approaching veteran actors since she’s a very approachable person.
“Ako naman po. Sobrang smiley face kase ako kaya ano ako, sobrang approachable ko talaga. Yung eyes ko nga daw nag smi smile.”
Mikee added that she pays her respects not just to veteran actors but to everyone.
“Totoo po sobrang nagbibigay ako ng respect, lalo na sa mga tao kahit bata pa yan or veteran na ako kase para sakin lahat deserve mabigyan ng respect.”

Similar to Tori, JC Gamez’s way of showing respect to veteran actors is by introducing himself.
“Kahit hindi ko po kilala sa first time I always try to say ‘Hello’, ‘Good morning’ tsaka sila din po yung makakatrabaho ko, parang you break the ice first.”
Chie Filomeno shared that conversing with them is already a privilege.
“It’s actually po a privilege to say hi sa kanila. Na e-enjoy ko po iyon. Like pwede mo na silang hawakan, makakpag hi ka and makakapag usap ka sa kanila. Yun po and siguro kase sa bahay pa lang , since bata kame na palaging mag hi, mag opo, mag pakilala.”
