Anne Curtis and her husband Erwan Heussaff, as well as Regine Velasquez and her husband Ogie Alcasid, are among the showbiz celebrities who are helping Angel Locsin’s team provide tents for overcrowded hospitals to be used by the medical frontliners and patients.
Through the fundraiser #UniTENTWeStand spearheaded by Locsin, her team was able to raise almost 4 million pesos which were used to produce 12×24-meter tents that will be delivered to 28 initial target hospitals.
On Thursday, Locsin posted on her Instagram account that the tents from the Alcasids and Heussaffs have already been set up at the Diliman Doctors Hospital and Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City.
Aside from this, ten 15×15-meter tents were also donated by the Alcasids to the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
Along with her fiancé Neil Arce, The General’s Daughter star also delivered three tents to the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

With Neil and her best friend Dimples Romana, she began a crowdfunding initiative on March 25 that aims to provide tents to hospitals that are facing overcrowding amid the COVID-19 crisis. For almost a week, their fundraising effort has collected almost 4 million pesos.
As of April 1, Locsin’s #UniTentWeStand has already set up a total of 22 isolation tents at 11 hospitals including the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (Muntinlupa), Las Piñas Doctors Hospital, Las Piñas City Medical Center, South City Hospital and Medical Center, Medical Center Taguig, Rizal Provincial Hospital, Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Metropolitan Medical Center. and Ospital ng Taguig at Pateros. Her group will deliver tents to 38 more locations, including the PNP General Hospital and Bureau of Correction in Muntinlupa in the coming weeks.
Last year, Locsin was recognized by Forbes Asia as one of Asia’s latest Philantrophy Heroes, for her efforts in giving out aid and relief goods to the affected people of Marawi and of Typhoon Yolanda.
