Julia Barretto and Derek Ramsay share their realizations while on quarantine

COVID 19 brings fresh realizations and revelations to our local celebrities

When ‘Magandang Buhay’ host Karla Estrada asked Julia Barretto about her realizations while undergoing enhanced community quarantine, Julia said, “With everything that’s happening nakakabigay siya ng new perspective sa atin lahat. Siguro for me nagbago ang perspective ko sa maraming bagay, like the moments na sana we didn’t take for granted kasi it’s easy for us to see our friends, see our families, go out and work, like normal.

“Siguro rin pinipili kung ano ang pino-problema sa life. May mga bigger problems pala na [haharapin] pa natin in the future. Iba eh. Nakakaiba lang siya ng perspective so mas pinapahalagahan ang mas malalaki na bagay sa life,” the actress said.

Julia also took the time to discuss current views on love.

“Masarap mag-love. Masaya talaga. I think it’s the best time to really spread love, spread positivity and to make good relationships because I think in times of crisis like these parang kumakapit tayo talaga sa isa’t isa. Kailangan nagbi-build tayo ng stronger bond para to keep us sane lang.

“Take care of your friends, take care of yourself, your personal relationships.”

Julia Barretto is one of the many celebrities helping to fight against COVID-19. She and her sisters Dani and Claudia were able to raise funds to build an emergency quarantine facility at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Quezon City.

They hit a total number of 651,952.22 pesos for the said fundraising activity.

Actor Derek Ramsay also revealed having his own struggles while on lockdown.

On Instagram, Derek narrated, “I’ll be honest, I’m not gonna say it’s easy. It’s really tough.

“You just really have to focus, it’s a time for reflection. It’s a time to realize things that you know, that maybe we’ve been prioritizing the wrong things in our lives. We’ve really forgotten what life is really about.”

The Kapuso actor then shared his thoughts about his faith, his family, his mental state of mind.

“Times like these are a reminder. A tap on the shoulder saying, hey, we need to focus on what matters most. Our health. Our safety. The welfare of our families. All of which are ensured by tireless frontliners who put themselves on the line. This is why, along with Dunkin, we visited hospitals to give out smiles and donuts to our hardworking heroes. Now more than ever, we must show them that we are #GratefulTogether.”

Derek also joins the roster of celebrities to help frontliners through the AFP and the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

“Our AFP frontliners are working non stop to help all of us. It was an honor to meet and help these amazing people today. Through the efforts and kindness of @dunkin_ph and kapuso foundation, the AFP will be able to bring help to those in need. Mabuhay mayo,” said the actor.
