Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin took to social media to express her opinion on the ongoing issue about the ABS-CBN franchise.
On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin posted an 8-minute video of her personal opinion on the ABS-CBN shutdown.
“Hindi na po ako magsasalita tungkol sa serbisyong binibigay ng ABS CBN. Ang sa akin lang po kung maipapangako po na yung mawawalan ng trabaho sa gitna ng pandemya, magkakaroon po sila ng trabaho, may parehong sweldo, may parehong benepisyo, kung meron po wala kayong maririnig sa akin.”
She also clarified that she has no intentions to go against the Duterte administration, and even thanked him for his service in this time of pandemic, “Lilinawin ko lang po na hindi ito laban against our government. I wish our President the best, na hindi po malalampasan ang pandemyang ito kung wala po siya.”
“Naniniwala ako na dapat po sa panahon ngayon lalo ay magkaisa po tayo at magtulungan hindi po ito laban against our government.”
But what the Kapamilya actress wants, is to grant ABS CBN the Provisional Authority that others companies had when they were for their own franchise to be granted, “Liliinawin ko lang po ulet, ang nilalaban ko po to dito ay ang mabigyan po ng ekstensyon ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN, Kagaya ho ng pagbigay niyo ng ekstensyon sa ibang kompanya na nag expire po ang kanilang prangkisa, pero na extend po para po dinggin ng kongreso ang kanilang mga kaso, yun lamang po.”
“Mga mam at sir, we are not asking for a VIP Treatment. hindi po yun, We are asking for a fair chance.”
Last March 2020, Deputy Commissioner Edgardo Cabarios told that the National Telecommunications Commission would issue a provisional authority to allow ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries to operate until June 2022, “Ang advice kasi ngayon is kapag may concurrent resolution, then we can issue the provisional authority.”
After ABS-CBN was shut down by the National Telecommunications Commission, bashers and trolls were hard at work trying to make sure ABS-CBN would be kept down.
This happened when a netizen insinuated that the Aquinos were “kapartido” of ABS-CBN,
“Yan talaga ang priority mo ngayon? Anyway, last time I checked, wala naman pong Aquino dun. Ako I voted for Pres. Duterte, na I’m regretting dahil sa mga fanatic na atake lang ng atake. Imbes na paamuhin nyo yung tao. nilalayo nyo lalo.”
