Recently, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu went viral for making a confusing analogy trying to compare ABS-CBN’s shutdown to classroom rules.
She and Coco Martin, another artist who made an impassioned speech defending ABS-CBN, became the target of bashers and trolls.
Their fellow celebrities were quick to rise to their defense.
One of them is Kapamilya Star Angel Locsin who proudly posted a photo of Kim and Coco. She wrote, “I pray for protection for the both of you. I know your intentions are pure and thank you for standing up for what you believe in.”

Kim’s co-star in Love Thy Woman Ruffa Gutierrez showed her love for the actress. On her Twitter account while promoting her new online show Love thy Chika, Ruffa described her co-star Kim as humble and generous,

For Ruffa, Kim’s mistake doesn’t define who she is as a person,

Kim’s longtime boyfriend Xian Lim was bashed by netizens for her ‘nonsense’ statement,
On the Instagram of the Kapamilya actor, he posted a lengthy post defending his girlfriend,
“Kim does not deserve to be singled out and get all the hate she is getting from people in the internet. She is a smart, empathetic person who deeply cares for all the people around her. She cares so much that it scares me.”

During the Laban Kapamilya Online protest, Kim had said, “Sa classroom, may batas. Bawal lumabas. O, bawal lumabas, pero pag sinabi, pag nag-comply ka na bawal lumabas. Pero may ginawa ka sa pinagbabawal nila, inayos mo yung law ng classroom niyo at sinubmit mo uli, ay puwede na pala ikaw lumabas.”
Because she could not explain her point that much, her analogy immediately went viral and has since become a meme.
The actress immediately apologized for her Laban Kapamilya statement, posting a photo of herself with ABS-CBN’s Laban Kapamilya signature pose witht the caption that she herself also didn’t understand what she said.
