Derek and Andrea’s whirlwind romance started from being on-screen partners in the GMA Network primetime series The Better Woman, which aired from July 1 and concluded on September 27, 2019.

In an interview with last Thursday, June 4, the 30-year-old female star talked about her relationship with the 43-year-old actor and the reason she feels that he’s the one she will marry.

Despite being apart because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress revealed that it helped their relationship to become better and stronger.

“Maraming realizations na nabigay sa ating lahat and, kami naman, very open kami sa isa’t isa. So, parang sabay kaming nag-grow. Mas nagkaroon din ng weight ang bawat bagay.”

“We might be apart physically, but we still make sure to do most of our activities together through video call. We update each other and check up on each other several times a day,” she added.
