Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo says that rape has nothing to do with a woman’s clothing, which is the complete opposite of what his brother BenTulfo has been espousing.
On the Facebook account of News5, Raffy Tulfo of Idol in Action released a statement on the recent issue of victim-blaming.
Raffy insisted that no matter how a woman is going to cover up her body, it wouldn’t bother the mad mind of the assailant because even young children or old women get raped.
“May karapatan ang mga babae na makipag-inuman. Ang mali ‘yung mga lalakig nagsamantala. ‘Yung mga rapist na ‘yan, kaht na siguro ay balot na balot yung biktima, mangre-rape yang mga yan.
He stressed that the way a woman dresses herself has nothing to do with being harassed because, in the first place, dressing up is a way of expression and not an invitation.
“Walang pipiliin mga yan, kahit na anong klaseng damit pa ang ipasuot sa mga biktima.”
Recently Ben Tulfo, brother of Raffy Tulfo, tried to school Sharon Cuneta’s daughter, Frankie Pangilinan, that clothing plays a huge part in “inviting the beast” to commit rape.
Hija @kakiep83 , a rapist or a juvenile sex offender's desire to commit a crime will always be there. All they need is an opportunity, when to commit the crime. Sexy ladies, careful with the way you dress up! You are inviting the beast.

Frankie stressed that “rape culture is real and the product of this precise line of thinking, where behavior is normalized, particularly by men.”
– rape culture is real and a product of this precise line of thinking, where the behavior is normalized, particularly by men.
– the way anyone dresses should not be deemed as ‘opportunity’ to sexually assault them. ever.
– calling me hija will not belittle my point. https://t.co/bLbtEDVGBn— kakie (@kakiep83) June 14, 2020
The fiery exchange between Frankie and Ben didn’t stop there as the broadcaster even posted a screenshot of Frankie’s tweet on Facebook and tagged her as ‘Wannabe Smart Aleck.’

But Raffy Tulfo didn’t agree with his brother’s opinion. Netizens also sided with Raffy.
