Bela Padilla denies being a DDS, clarifies inclusion in Joyce Bernal’s SONA project

Bella was there for her friend Illiac Diaz, the founder of Liter of Light movement and not to be part of Bernal’s project for SONA.

Kapamilya star Bela Padilla denied accusations she is a Diehard Duterte Supporter (DDS) after her name was seen on a list as part of Joyce Bernal’s SONA team.

Bernal is set to mount visuals for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA). As part of the team, Bela’s name was included in the list as well as Piolo’s.

With the spread of the document online, a netizen tagged Bela in a Twitter post to ask if she was DDS after knowing that her home network franchise renewal was not approved by the Congress.

Bela replied, “Nope not at all”

The netizen was curious asking if she wasn’t a DDS then why her name was on the list. Bela explained she was unaware that the shoot they had for Liter of Light will be used for the SONA. But as soon she found out, Bela went home immediately.

In an article, Bella was there for her friend Illiac Diaz, the founder of Liter of Light movement and not to be part of Bernal’s project for SONA.

But then, their names were included among those approved by the Palace communication team to go to Sagada to shoot the video. However, the Sagada local government denied their request to shoot.

Piolo Pascual also released his statement regarding the issue.

“My loyalty has been with ABS-CBN since I was born in this business,” he said. “My trip to Sagada had nothing to do with the government.”

“I haven’t met the President personally and I don’t do politics as some may know,”

“This isn’t about the President,” he added.

The SONA video aims to show how the environment had changed positively because of the pandemic.
