Couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles trended on social media after they were accused of transferring to the GMA network amid the non-renewal of the Kapamilya network franchise.
Kim had various projects with ABS-CBN such as The General’s Daughter”, “Kadenang Ginto”, “Bagani”, “Sana Dalawa ang Puso”, “La Luna Sangre”, “A Love to Last”, and “Till I Met You.”
Her recent appearance on GMA Network’s noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! made netizens think that she transferred to the other station.
The Jowable star received bashing from a netizen after she guested in the show’s segment “Bawal Judgement.” Kim in reply stated that she is not contracted with any network thus no transferring happened.
She said, “Mr. @Artlayug1, FYI po walang lipatang nangyari dahil una sa lahat wala po akong kontrata sa NETWORKS. Wag padalos dalos sa salita. Alam ko po kung saan ako nanggaling at AKO PA RIN AY NANININDIGAN PARA SA AKING MGA KAPAMILYA. Wag ako. #yestoABSCBNFranchiseRenewal #BawalJudgmental.”

Kim’s partner Jerald Napoles defended her and later thanked the critic for apologizing.
“Thank you sir. Tayo tayo na lang rin ang magtutulungan. I hope you and your family are safe right now,” he said.
Jerald was last seen on GMA Network in the defunct variety show Sunday PinaSaya. However, he later made a TV appearance in ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Kim being teased with Jerald in her guesting on “Eat Bulaga” made the latter miss his previous co-artists Vic Sotto, Jose Manalo, and Alden Richards .
However, his harmless statement triggered criticisms which made him explain that he too is not contracted with any network.
He said, “Project per project basis ako. Wala akong contract sa kahit anong network. Pwede akong kumuha ng project sa kahit anong network. Walang personalan sa magkabilang panig. So mamimili po ba ako ng trabaho? Kabawasan po ba sa talent ko ang kumuha ng project kahit t sa PTV 4.”
Panay banggit nyo saken sa @EatBulaga bossing, kuya Jose, pao, @aldenrichards02 kahit wala ako jan ha.. Miss nyo ko noh.. Miss you too hihi.. Kung nanjan ako pulutan na naman ako. 😊📺

Bakit ako mahihiya? Anong mali sa sinabi ko? May tinapakan ba akong pagkatao. May nilabag ba ako sa batas? https://t.co/Vee09dyFgM

Amid the battle of the ABS-CBN franchise renewal, some of its home artists transferred to the other network.
One of those is Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 former housemate and Star Magic talent Luis Hontiveros, the confirmation of his transfer was announced on Instagram officially adding him up on the GMA artist center family.
Another was the actress/comedienne Pokwang, who clarified that she already asked for a transfer before the pandemic and the franchise issue of her home network.
Richard Yap also appeared as a guest in “Eat Bulaga!” which sparked speculations of him transferring but Yap denied this calling it as only rumors.
